What BalancedRow does

We help individuals and small businesses understand their options and get matched with licensed accountants, including CPAs and IRS Enrolled Agents. Our role is to connect you with professionals you may choose to contact.

If you use this site or send a request through get matched, you agree that BalancedRow is not the firm doing the work. We are not your accountant, lawyer, payroll provider, or tax preparer. Using the site does not create a client relationship with BalancedRow.

We may share general educational information on topics like taxes, bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting. That information is for general education only. It is not personal advice, and it may not fit your exact facts.

What you are responsible for

You stay in control.

1. Choose whether to contact anyone. A match is not a recommendation or guarantee.
2. Verify the professional yourself. Check the person's license or enrollment and PTIN through the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers and, when relevant, your state board of accountancy.
3. Confirm scope and fees in writing before work starts. Fees are set by the accountant you hire, not by BalancedRow.
4. Review all work before signing or filing. Whether it is a tax return, books, or payroll setup, you are responsible for checking names, numbers, and bank details.

Fees, estimates, and no guarantees

Using BalancedRow is free to the reader. Participating accountants pay a flat fee to take part in the service.

We do not charge you for a match. We do not take a percentage of your refund. We do not take a percentage of the accountant's fee.

Any prices shown anywhere on this site are typical ranges and estimates only, not quotes, bids, promises, or guaranteed prices. The real fee depends on the work involved, your situation, the records you bring, and your area. Before hiring anyone, ask for the fee and scope in writing.

Protecting your information

Please be careful with sensitive information. BalancedRow collects contact and request details only so we can help with matching. We do not ask for or collect:

• Social Security Numbers
• ITIN numbers
• bank login information
• financial-account numbers
• tax documents or identity documents for filing

Never share your SSN, ITIN number, bank login, or tax documents with anyone you have not verified. That includes people who contact you and claim they can help. Verify the credential first. Confirm who you are dealing with. Then decide what to share.

Limits of the service

We try to make the site useful and keep information current, but we cannot promise that every page, estimate, or provider detail is complete, current, available in your area, or right for your situation.

BalancedRow does not guarantee:

• that you will receive a match
• that any matched accountant will accept your matter
• the quality, speed, outcome, or price of any professional's work
• any tax result, refund amount, filing position, bookkeeping outcome, or audit result

Please use the site for lawful, honest purposes only. Do not send false information, try to interfere with the site, impersonate someone else, or use the service to spam accountants.
